Classics reviewed poorly - Music edition!

So the rules are this :

1. Think of your favorite books/movies/games/albums, the classics that you find nearly perfect.
2. Find the lowest customer reviews on Amazon.com.
3. Enjoy.

Rancid - Life Won't Wait

reviewer - Greg Milefsky

This is by far Rancid's worst CD. There are no catchy baselines and the guitars are weak. All the music is slow. NOTHING IS FAST PACED and LOUD! It is painful to try and listen to the entire album through. Not what I expected from Rancid. I just hope their new release (in August) is better.

Green Day - Dookie

reviewer - ScorpionSting

Is this music? I call it loud noise! This stuff really stinks, none of the numbers is longer than 3,5 minutes, and how can you like it when all the songs are the same. Only Basket Case is nice, and it deserves a 9/10. But the rest, all 1/10. Just worthless, spare your money, and go buy something else. What also bothers me is the fact that there are no guitar solo's and cool guitar rifs. Just the same speed, same style, same everything. And the singer sings like he's got a running nose. And the guitar does the same tune every 3 seconds. I just don't understand how this can be a 4.5 star-album.

Operation Ivy - Energy

reviewer - pen15

The comparisons to the Clash and Op. Ivy are very appropriate... both bands sucked. Read the title. Listen to some crust instead you pansies.

Mighty Mighty Bosstones - Question the Answers

reviewer - dmehi

I'm a big-time ska fan and I do like the Mighty Mighty Bosstones. I bought this cd when I started to get into ska a couple years ago. It was MMBT latest cd at the time. I liked maybe one or two songs, but the rest sucks. His voice sounds so bad on this cd that I couldn't even listen to the songs, even though the music part was ok. His voice ruins the songs and this cd. That my opinion.

Bouncing Souls - How I Spent My Summer Vacation

reviewer - michael armstrong

I went to see Green day in concert last december and Bouncing souls were their support band. And they sounded really good so i decided to get the album and i was dissapointed.Every song is miserable apart from tracks 5 and 6 which are decent rock songs. I thought they were going to be the next Green Day well they could be if they can do more songs like tracks 5 and 6.

Rancid - ...And Out Come the Wolves

reviewer - Tim Wilson

What a piece of liberal hippie garbage. At first listen, this album sounded like every other piece of sold out "punk" music. However, after I listened a little more carefully, I realised that this album was much more than that. It is not only loud, unlistenable and annoying -- it is most definitely a true piece of hippie propoganda. These so-called punks think that they are rebelling at some corrupt system. Yet, all they do is sit in a circle, smoke weed, and have sex all day. DO NOT BUY THIS ALBUM.

I love it. I love it. I love it.

Things are good here. Working a lot, playing games, hanging with friends, watching Battlestar Galactica (got Cleo hooked on it now, too!). It's going to be a good summer.

paranoia paranoia

So I've had a ton to blogge this week, but no time, so I'll give you a really quick list of awesome things this week. It's been GEEKTASTIC!!

Battlestar Galactica. I haven't been this completely blown away by a tv show in I don't know how long. It's the best thing I've seen in years and years.

I heart Dr. Who. I heart the cheeky brits and their crazy sci-fi. I heart the spinoff, Torchwood. I heart the fact that this show has the EXACT same tone as the first few seasons of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. So so so so so good.

I was going to make a lengthy post about this, but here's the short run: it's not as good as the prequel (the STUNNING 28 Days Later, the best horror film of the past 15 years or so), but it's a worthy follow up. See it.

The office is now livable, and my workstation is no longer dying in front of me. Hooray! I am no longer baking upstairs!!!!

I haven't even gotten a chance to play it yet (work work work). I got it today while we were out. It looks absolutely amazing. I'll post all kinds of awesome crap when I get further into it.

And finally, some new work to show.

This hasn't been approved yet, but I like it enough to post.

More later, of course.

Earth Intruders

So the past few days have been really good. Some good projects have come in and are eating my time and the weather has been AMAZING. I've taken to pulling my patented all nighters, and I go for a couple mile walk at sunrise. Not bad. One client in particular is very cool, but more on that when its further along.

Bethany is totally in craft show season and all kinds of craziness is going on at Cleo Dee's. I'm proud of her and look forward to the shows we'll be rocking this summer.

I spoke at The End last night and it seemed to go really well, a lot of good response and interaction. And Fatheads afterwards was great as always.

I haven't posted art in awhile, so I'll favor you with this:
Also, you may remember a while ago I did some work for a band called The Ted Kennedys. Well, they've released their first recording and it's really awesome, hilarious, dirty old school punk rock. And it's all downloadable! Check it out here.

Happy springtime, kids. Enjoy it while it lasts.
