Done and done.

Well, it was a very busy 6 weeks, but it's finally done. It's one of several projects I've been working on since early February, and completing it means I get to sleep with some regularity from here on out.
I'm not sure when I'll be able to show it to you. I hope it is very soon. I think you'll like it, or rather I really hope you do.

Until then, onward and upward!

Apparently Disney is adding another themed area to their parks : TOTAL EFFING RIP OFF LAND.

The evidence?

Check out these these two still from the upcoming Disney flick The Ballad Of Nessie:

And now, watch this:

That, of course is our entry into the Thanksgiving carol canon, Ghost Pilgrims. I'm sure you are stamping your little feet in outrage as well. "Outrageous!" you cry. "Damnable!" you scream! You throw open your window and call into the howling night wind "MIGHTY GOD WHY?" But no answer comes. No, my dears, no one can give a sufficient answer to this most basic of questions : Why is Disney ripping off my plaid hills?

How can they, a multi-national giant of entertainment, and the bearer of perhaps the richest tradition of 2d animation in existence, justify this outrage? Are they so out of ideas that they must descend into the back-alley world of indie animators who make sporadically-updated cartoon series featuring themselves as a talking octopus and their wives as a talking cat? Next they'll be ripping off my signature innovations of "squash and stretch", "overlapping action" and "talkies".

This is almost as terrible as when they, making only minor changes, lifted my ideas for "The Autocrat's New Schtick", "Disney Princess: Port of Call New Orleans" and "The Ugly Dachshund". They even ganked my treatments for "Angela Lansbury & Flying Bed Vs. The Nazi Menace" and "Car Full of Gnomes".
Pictured: Their unlicensed take on my script "The District Attorney is Too Shaggy".

Finding Solutions

For the longest time I've been trying to come up with a quick and dirty way to share little motion clips from in-progress projects. As such, I have turned to the bleeding-edge tech of ANIMATED GIFS. Doing it this way is quick, easy, fun to look at and doesn't spoil the final impression. Also : savable and embeddable! Share them with friends! It also gives the clips an interesting and wholly separate aesthetic that actually reflects the fact that everything I make is made at home, by myself. DIY till you die from it!

My boards are horrifyingly ugly, Part 3

The board:
The finished frame:
My brain is about to just quit from exhaustion. I can actually feel it thinking worse. It's making that noise you hear when the washing machine is thrown off balance.
